Job Title : ETL Tester /Devloper Location : Ashburn, VA duration : Long term Remote job till covid end This job is 60% testing and 40% ETL Informatica power center development required Job Description Summary The Engineer will partner closely with our development teams and product. In the Engineer capacity, the person will be deeply engaged in the end-to-end application architecture, design, development, testing and operationalization of the developed products/applications. The position will also entail collaboration with stakeholders outside of the core team, including but not limited to other technical specialists, project owners, project managers and business stakeholders. Responsibilities Develop and execute detailed ETL related test cases Design and develop test cases, and compare expected vs. actual data created by ETL processes. Review and analyze system specifications Evaluate product code according to specifications Write complex SQL queries for validating the data Help troubleshoot issues. Able to analyze and find the root cause of potential issues in data warehouse Participate in the categorization, prioritization, troubleshooting, resolution, verification, tracking, and reporting of all other functions for defect and issue handling Ensure delivered functionality meets or exceeds requirements and quality objectives. Actively participates in analyzing requirement and providing feedback to requirements analyst and product owner. Works collaboratively in a team-based agile environment utilizing industry standard Scrum methodologies Document work sufficiently, to enable traceability of business requirements throughout the program lifecycle Qualifications Expertise with Informatica and/or other ETL tools Must have strong experience in ETL testing Ability to Develop complex SQL scripts for ETL Extensively worked on Data Extraction Transformation and Loading. Good experience with testing for enterprise data warehouses (EDW), ETL, and data loads Strong experience in design and development of test plans and test cases/scenarios based upon functional requirements. Experience with data generation techniques and data automation testing Experience in testing Database Application to validate source to destination data movement and transformation. Should be well versed with the Data flow and Test Strategy for ETL Testing.
