Principle areas of responsibility are: Conducting facility evaluations IAW UFC 1-201-02 Conducting in- and out-briefs to base commanders, BOS-I, etc. as appropriate in order to describe the scope of work, deficiencies found, and suggestions to correct life, health and safety (LHS) hazards Creating personnel, inspection, and evaluation reports for Government review Reviewing plans for military construction projects, facility modernization, rehabilitation programs, or self-help projects for compliance with the appropriate codes/standards While there is not a design element in this contract, the Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert to review and inspect buildings and/or facilities to ensure code compliance for new construction that is in progress or completed Basic Qualifications: Employment is project-based and will take place on US Military Bases throughout the Middle East US CENTCOM AOR Must be trained within the trades of fire protection and possess at least two years of experience demonstrating the ability to apply the standards of UFC 1-200-01, UFC 1-201-02 and the UFC Series 3-600 The Specialist will be considered a qualified person in their respective field (i.e. they will be qualified to test automatic sprinkler and fire suppression systems) Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
