In this role you will be responsible for the entire financial cycle of the US plant within the strategic guidelines outlined within the group. You will be part of the local management team and position yourself as a business partner for the various internal stakeholders. This is a full time opportunity located in the Fraser, Michigan area. For immediate consideration, please reach out to Sean Robinson at Ext 48128 -Take up responsibility for correct posting of the financial accounting based on drawing and following up the profit and loss accounts and balance sheets -Ensure the periodic closing and reporting within the set guidelines and procedures -Take full responsibility and accountability for all company related tax declarations -Draw up, check and monitor the reporting of the financial figures and operational KPI's -Follow up budget and operational results and secure profound analysis and reporting of financial figures with explanation of variances on result and cash flow -Drive the yearly budgeting exercise, lead short- and long-term budgeting and make estimates of the needs with regard to cash resources -Deliver information for and supervise drawing up a business plan and monitor cost-control systems and procedures to facilitate a strict control of the company's profitability -Analyze investments proposals and provide advice about the desirability thereof in order to ensure correct financial data -Investigate, assess, monitor and save the creditworthiness of (potential) customers and suppliers to minimize the current debtors and to protect the related financial position of the company -In joint effort with the sales department, analyze the existing and new customer portfolio and guarantee the collection of customer credit balances to shorten the period during which accounts receivables are outstanding -Monitor/analyze customer revenue, costs, and other contract terms in order to measure and improve customer profitability -Coordinates with an insurance broker and insurance companies in case of claims -Coordinate the execution of audits including planning, manpower and other resources -Take responsibility for the follow up of recommendations and develop actions plans thereon -Assess, improve and develop internal control procedures to define and adjust the suitable, efficient and effective application of internal control procedures -Coach and work on the development of your team to ensure their competences, skills and know-how are used and developed to the best advantage and to work as a well-functioning department -Keep up to date on the evolutions and developments related to the accountancy, budget and control, legislation and auditing to be able to continuously improve and streamline financial processes and to transfer expertise to staff members -Act as a business partner to the local management team and general manager Job Requirements: •Preferable master's Degree in Business Administration or Finance -8+ years of relevant experience, including significant experience in an international business environment -Thorough knowledge of accountancy, financial and operational reporting and significant experience in communication with financial institutions, auditors and fiscal offices -Thorough understanding of various business processes and knowledge of relevant statutory regulations -Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities and able to drive change -Strong business ethics and acts with integrity -Possesses a can-do mentality and is focused on achieving results -Proven track record in hands-on leading teams while acting as active team member -Ability to operate with Microsoft Office and ERP systems -Full proficiency in English Robert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled professionals with remote or on-site jobs in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
