SHIFT: 3rd Shift (10pm - 630am) in a 5-day pattern (Sunday Night to Friday Morning)
WAGE: $21 to $24 per hour plus 15% night shift differential
SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES : This Electro-Mechanical Tech will be responsible/required (but not limited) to…
- Assist in planning, designing, fabricating and installing wiring and control systems (PLC and VFD)
- Tackle bench-work activities to include, reprogramming, rebuilds, wiring, operational checks and upgrades
- Work in conjunction with Maintenance to repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, electrical/electronic systems
- Perform work by referencing and adhering to technical manuals, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, shop drawings, data sheets, wiring drawings and other documented specifications
- Ensure equipment meets regulatory requirements
- Interface with Production (Operators and Shift Manager) and other Maintenance contacts to communicate on machine efficiency and effectiveness, and/or regarding foreseeable issues
- Monitor and perform seasonal electro-mechanical activities on equipment during non-standard work hours
- Demonstrate flexibility in covering other shifts during instances of employee vacations or call-offs with the department
- Participate in required trainings and meetings; also where/when applicable- help guide new hires
- Follow all Company policies and procedures and applicable Standard Operating Procedures
- Help implement and/or suggest new concepts of IMSU/EHS in area of responsibility, while adhering to all safety policies and regulations, along with the EHS Guideline
Job Requirements:
ATTRACTIVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCES :
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Two-year degree or certification in electric and electronic design, PLC programming and system design (highly preferred) - Previous experience (2+ years) of electro-mechanical work in an industrial setting
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to troubleshoot/repair electrical circuits, mechanical systems and pneumatics
- Exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing setting and cGMP (highly preferred)
- Experience in glass forming industry and/or pharmaceutical industry experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated communication skills (written / oral) including the ability to read/speak English
- Basic PC skills/functionality
- Ability and willingness to work Mon-Fri on 3rd Shift (10am - 630am) w/ flexibility (e.g., OT, Weekends, On-Call)
- Ability and willingness to work in a production floor setting with moderate noise
- Ability and willingness to work in fast-paced, matrix structured organization
