Position Summary

Reporting to the Sr. L&D Manager, North America, the L&D Manager will be responsible for managing complete learning cycles and programs within the North America L&D function and large-scale projects, in part or in whole, within the global Talent/L&D function. This role will focus on developing, managing and executing leadership development programs and training requests which increase the capability, engagement or performance of people across CDK Global.

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

  • Consult, design, develop, and execute development programs and initiatives for CDK employees, creating global alignment and positive learner experiences
  • Act as a SME in the development, management, and execution of leadership programs in line with HR and business strategies
  • Manage programs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, meet stakeholder expectations, and in line with budgeted costs
  • Continually evaluate and improve programs to help ensure the capability and development of participants in line with the needs of the business
  • Respond to training requests at individual and group level- ensuring a clear business benefit for training expenditure, and alignment with strategic priorities
  • Ensure that appropriate systems and process are in place to support learning, keep accurate records, and maximize the use of learning technology where appropriate
  • Help lead efforts in bridging initiatives across the global Talent function, in such areas as performance management, talent development, mentoring, 360 and other assessments
  • Contribute meaningfully as a member of the CDK HR team - working collaboratively and inclusively to execute the HR Strategy; consistently demonstrating the CDK Values and behavioral expectations of all CDK employees

Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in a learning and development role
  • SME in L&D - with a track record of writing, designing, delivering and evaluating complex leadership and employee development programs
  • Excellent organizational project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent partnering and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience utilizing LMS technology
  • Experience in the use of all Microsoft products to a high standard; specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Qualified in psychometric instruments and participant debrief practices, in such tools as: Korn Ferry, Clifton StrengthsFinder, Hogan, or Disc
  • Bachelor or Graduate degree in business or psychology field
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural, international, and global matrix environment
  • Experience mentoring or coaching others
  • Workday LMS experience
