General Position Summary/Purpose:
The Associate Director, Data Governance, Strategy and Analytics - Ibrutinib will be responsible for supporting the strategy and direction, establishing governance and for effective management of data, reporting, and Incentive Compensation plan and design. This role will report into the Director, Data Governance, Strategy, & Analytics and support the requirements for the commercial team by providing technical and thought leadership for data evaluation, acquisition and integration, information storage and management, and reports & applications by making the information easily accessible to the users and bringing in best practices
Key accountabilities/responsibilities:
Data Strategy & Governance:
- Develop data strategy and vision for building the data ecosystem to evaluate, acquire, integrate, and consume data that drive commercial insights
- Establish the blueprint for multi-level parent-child spine and affiliation system and work with BTS and sales to build and implement it
- Establish data governance by defining how to make data available, usable, and integral with current ecosystem.
- Responsible for ensuring robust and well-vetted data to deliver the single version of truth to the organization
- Robustly evaluate new data sources to improve the data offerings and work with the matrix team such as Trade, Contracting, Legal, etc to get the data in-house
- In partnership with BTS, develop and implement service level agreement, get the data into systems and mastered
- Review and modify as necessary all existing business rules within the multiple systems as well as developing new business rules as necessary
- Develop change request processes, analyze change requests, identify implementation alternatives and implementation impact
Incentive Compensation Analytics:
- Responsible for running quarterly IC processes and annual design & fairness testing with focus on accuracy and speed
- Ensure IC/SPIFFs are aligned to organization's objectives
- Analyze and design motivating sales force contests by working with senior sales leadership team and implement and track them
- Develop and implement analysis that identify national and sub-national drivers behind sales performance that motivate the sales team, including sales trends, market share, Inventory vs demand analysis, account level forecast for on-label sales tying to Nation forecast
- Evaluate data, call out insights, and make recommendations to the executive leadership team to make recommendations to define business strategy
- Extrapolate, from the data ecosystem, to define the direction of the business and positively impact profitability
- Partner effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams like Sales Operations/Execution, Sales, Market Analytics, Market Access, and BTS to provide holistic approach on business situations that affect Sales performance /IC metrics, contracting, data integration, downstream systems, etc.
- Ensure all data processes and solutions are 100% adherent to compliance process at all time, including but not limited to any personal promotion (call plan) as well as non-personal promotional (NPP) programs, and field IC reporting
- Champions compliance, effectiveness, and efficiency in process and policies
- Focus on improving quality and productivity through automation
Qualifications
- 12+ years of work experience in data strategy and acquisition, marketing analytics commercial information management, strategic consulting and/or other analytical work in the pharmaceutical, biotech or related industries
- BA or BS degree required, MBA, Masters is preferred
- Proficiency in reporting and data analytics tools like SAS (Base and Macro), Excel, Powerpoint, VBA, Tableau
- Experience on IC processes, CRM tools such as Veeva and knowledge of data warehouse processes
- Experience with 3rd party pharmaceutical data like IQVIA Sales Data (DDD, Xponent, NPA, NSP, IMS Smart), Affiliation data such as IQVIA HCOS, Symphony (Claims, Metys) and Specialty pharmacy data, GPO dispense data. Knowledge of medical/retail claims data a plus
- Demonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses to generate insight and recommendations
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities and significant time pressures
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) required along with strong project/process management skills
- Experience of leading and managing a team
- Previous experience in oncology is required and experience specifically in hematology is a plus
