What You Will Be Doing

This position will oversee all aspects of manufacturing to produce electronics integrated into avionics within quality standards & cost objectives. The position will directly report to the division general manager and will involve interaction with our customers, product development teams, internal administrative/finance departments as well as with senior management.

- Direct all directorate product realization activities and ensures timelines and quality standards are achieved

- Provide daily direction and coordination of assembly, test, and material inventory management for multiple avionics product lines

- Develop organization capability to meet strategic and operational requirements

- Coordinate projects, and works with proposal development center and with engineering management personnel, marketing personnel and customer representatives (including auditors)

- Support quality and other process-oriented certification efforts as assigned

- Conduct performance appraisals

What You Need for this Position

The ideal candidate for this role has electrical design understanding and will be able to understand the needs for several R&D lines of electronics to push through production and customer requirements/integrations into defense/avionics systems.

- BS/MS in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or similar engineering

- Extensive experience with Electrical devices/products, processes, assembly, and integrations.

- Electrical Design through production of complex devices. Understanding of design in order to integrated multiple product lines into that of customers needs within avionics/defense systems.

- Experience working with the production floor to evaluate, modify, and adapt new production processes.

- Experience working with assemblers, technicians, procurement, inventory, and buyers.

- Ability to generate, maintain and follow a budget, set and maintain project schedules of production operations, all without appreciable supervision. Operation of a computer and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc

- Ten years of related work experience, including 5 or more years of group engineering, line management and project management work

- Good communication skills, good problem solving ability, ability to multitask, ability to delegate responsibilities appropriately, and ability to work with a diverse work force
