Recognizes, anticipates and resolves tax issues; makes recommendations. Prepare complex federal, state, local, and special tax returns for partnerships, S-corporations, C-corporations, trusts and individuals. Prepare LIFO calculations for all dealerships. Prepare fixed asset schedules for depreciation for all dealerships. Prepare various year-end tax calculations such as computation of demo wages. Respond to state and federal tax notices on behalf of our dealerships. Assist in gathering information for tax audits. Assist Senior Accounting Managers with any tax questions they may have. Research complex federal, state and local tax issues Demonstrates the Company's Core Values Complies with Company policies and procedures Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties Other duties as assigned What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field. 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver's license. Strong knowledge of applicable tax law and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Tax software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Reporting to the Director, Accounting & Finance, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for operation and oversight of day-to-day general ledger accounting and financial functions and will supervise a team of 5+ staff members. Responsibilities: Accounting & Financial Reporting Responsible for ensuring accuracy of reported results and timely compilation of monthly financial statements.
