ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking an experienced Board-Certified General Surgeon to provide locum tenens coverage. The position involves 24-hour call coverage over a four-day period, supporting surgical needs across all age groups. This short-term assignment offers a well-supported environment and full travel reimbursement.

• Schedule: 24-hour call (07:00 a.m. 07:00 a.m.)

• Setting: Hospital-based

• Reason for Coverage: Gap in surgical coverage

Job Details / Responsibilities

• Average Surgical Cases per Day: 1 2

• Patient Population: All ages (pediatric through geriatric)

• Number of Operating Rooms: 3

• General Surgeons in Practice: 2

• Procedures: General surgical cases, including adult, trauma, and pediatric surgery

• Documentation System / EMR: Cerner

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certification: General Surgery (REQUIRED)

• Licensure: Active Michigan medical license (REQUIRED at submission)

• Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

• Experience: Recent general surgery experience within the last 2 years (REQUIRED)

• Other Requirements: COVID-19 vaccination (REQUIRED at name clear)
