The Operations Turret Dispatcher is responsible for following Loomis security protocols and is concerned with all matters relating to the safety and security of the facility and its personnel. Monday thru Friday Shift Start Times: 7AM-3PM 3PM-11PM 11PM- 7AM Nassau or Suffolk pistol permit required. This includes, but is not limited to: Access Control, Control Center Operations, Patrol and Response, Screening Operations, and Visitor Processing . Access Control Duties: ensure only authorized personnel and vehicles are allowed access to the facility. Turret Center Operations: serve as point-of-contact for non-emergency and emergency communications and information as well as operate and monitor security and safety systems. Patrol and Response: provide security patrol coverage of the facility to ensure security breaches and criminal or suspicious activities are detected and reported in a timely manner. Screening Duties: deter, detect, and deny the entry of prohibited or illegal items into facilities and areas; conducts inspections of packages, personnel, and vehicles. Visitor Processing: controls access to facilities and areas by validating and processing persons prior to entry. Escort visitors on premises. May perform traffic (vehicular and pedestrian), control parking, and examine surroundings for suspicious vehicles or persons. Shall monitor and operate facility fire alarm, environmental and intrusion detection systems, CCTV, automated access control systems, package and personnel screening systems, communication systems, and other protection devices. Shall identify, report persons who violate rules and regulations; report all incidents; maintain logs, reports and files incidents and occurrences. All employees must ensure performance meets the company's requirements and must act in accordance with the Company's Code of Conduct. Armed Security Guards must be able to operate firearms and weapons. Requirements: In order to be considered, candidates must meet ALL of the following requirements and examination results must be favorable as defined by the DHS contractual requirements: 2 years of Armed Security or Law Enforcement experience. Be able to meet any Federal, State, or Municipal requirements to work as an Armed Security Guard. Successfully completed all training and have obtained all required permits, licenses, certifications, and security clearances for the site.
