Orlando Health Women s Institute Center for Maternal Fetal Medicine is seeking a board-certified Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist to complement our growing and highly engaged clinical team of 12 fellowship trained perinatologists and two advanced practice clinicians. The team provides comprehensive services with a multidisciplinary approach, to include Neonatologists, Palliative Care Specialists, Pediatric Subspecialists, Neurologists, and more. Access to Medical Center outpatient clinics including Cardiology, Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Neurosurgery, Ear, Nose and Throat, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Nephrology, Pediatric Gastroenterology, and Rheumatology, along with diabetes counseling (delivered at Health Center) and nutritional therapy Status: Full-time: 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (option ); 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (option ); Weekend hours are provided at our main Health Center, and may become part of the secondary Health Center schedule in response to the health care access needs of our communities. Proficient in the performance of clinic and bedside general surgery procedures, including but not limited to laceration repair, incision and drainage of large abscesses, punch biopsies, removal of superficial skin lesions is a must. The candidate must be comfortable working in the operating room, clinic and surgical wards. Thorough skill in obtaining a surgical history and conducting a physical examination is a must. Must be comfortable writing complete daily progress notes, consultation notes, and writing discharge summaries. Communication skills, both verbal and written, general computer knowledge is preferred; ability to work independently, yet in collaboration with physicians, nurses and care team. Ability to use problem-solving, decision making, and creative thinking skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing clinical environment. Must participate in call rotation.
