The Division of Plastic, Reconstructive & Hand Surgery at MUSC boasts fully accredited programs for both integrated residency and independent fellowship training, as well as a postgraduate microsurgery fellowship. The Division provides comprehensive care in reconstructive, aesthetic, craniofacial, hand, and microsurgical procedures, serving patients across five hospitals in Charleston. We are seeking to expand our faculty portfolio as current clinical demand necessitates the addition of more surgeons and residents to meet the growing population in Charleston. We are seeking candidates with: Board certification or board eligibility in Plastic Surgery Fellowship training in microsurgery preferred, but not required Demonstrated interest in research, graduate, and undergraduate education Commitment to excellence in patient care and professional development About our opportunity: Appointment as an Assistant, Associate or Professor of Surgery Potential to serve as the Section Chief of Breast Reconstruction, based on experience and qualifications. Start date can be as soon as possible or upon graduation in 2026 Provide exceptional clinical care in Plastic and Breast Reconstruction Surgery at our Ashley River Tower and Hollings Cancer Center Standard Schedule: Two days of outpatient clinic, two days of OR time, and one day of admin/research/flex time. Work schedule is flexible to cater to the candidate s needs and interests. Department and division support to grow and streamline our Breast Reconstruction service line. Collaborate closely with the Division of Surgical Oncology to provide leadership and drive innovation in patient care and integration between surgical oncology and breast reconstruction.
