Job Summary The Program Officer is a key member of the Older Youth team and supports the Foundation's grantmaking in the Opportunity Youth initiative. The Initiative works to ensure Opportunity Youth have access to economic self-sufficiency through connection to jobs leading to quality careers. Our geographic areas of focus are Los Angeles, New Orleans, Mexico City, and Mombasa, Kenya. Reporting to the Senior Program Officer (SPO), the Program Officer serves as a key thought partner and will have primarily responsibility for managing the [strategic] initiative's overall grant portfolio. The Officer will work closely with the SPO to design, implement, and monitor a portfolio of grants in alignment with the Board- approved strategy for Opportunity Youth. The Officer will help to identify potential grantees, assist with proposal development, and provide grantee technical support, as well as monitor grant progress.
