In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Acts as SCM subject matter expert, responsible for the definition and implementation of the technical methodology of the SCM department Defines SCM plans and scripts/programs Analyses and documents systems requirements for the most complex environments Recommends software design based on requirements Analyses and monitors the effectiveness of the use of technology in SCM processes Structures and monitors technical activities based upon approved project methodologies Collects and analyses project data and produces progress reports Makes recommendations to improve efficiencies and outcomes Responsible for installation and making vendor software products fully operational within BNY Mellon environment Reviews customizations made to core product to ensure impact on future portability To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree is preferred 8-10 years of experience in a systems SCM environment Demonstrable expertise with Jira APIs, webhooks and extensive hands-on coding experience using Jira plug-ins such as Sprint Runner, JSU Automation suite for Jira 'Elements Connect', 'Advanced Roadmap' etc. Experience managing all aspects of infrastructure for installing, configuring and/or upgrading Jira, including other Jira products (Jira Service Desk/Jira Service Management) Strong expertise on Linux and Shell scripting Ability to manage CI/CD pipelines setup, JIRA, and JIRA/Confluence to complete tasks including version control, defect tracking and should be able to do migrations using project configurator/configuration manager Ability to independently drive application performance levels testing strategy with experience of test-driven development, and continuous monitoring using tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, etc. Prior Java and Groovy development background highly preferred Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience including, but not limited to: Designing/building JIRA features and workflows, including related screen schemes, field configurators etc. for complex and high impact projects in a shorter duration Demonstrated expertise conducting design sessions and presenting end-state Jira workflows to the user community based on user requirements for workflows/configuration At BNY Mellon, our inclusive culture speaks for itself.
